It is more than a road trip; it is a meticulously planned journey through 1,000-year-old cultures, high-altitude deserts and sky-touching passes. This is the definitive Spiti experience—raw, spiritual, and utterly unforgettable.

Day 01: Chandigarh to Narkanda

Transfer from Chandigarh to Narkanda. Checkin to the hotel and freshen up.

Located at an altitude of 2,708m (approx. 8,900 ft), Narkanda is a tranquil hill station nestled among dense forests of fir, maple and oak. Often called the "Gateway to the Apple Heartland," it offers a perfect first- night stop for acclimatization before you enter the higher altitudes of Spiti.

Day 02: Narkanda to Sangla

After breakfast proceed to Sangla.

Leaving behind the rolling orchards of Narkanda, the journey descends toward the mighty Sutlej River, following the legendary Hindustan-Tibet Highway. This stretch is famous for its "cliff-hanging" roads, where the route is literally carved into the rock face—a true highlight for photography enthusiasts and thrill- seekers. As you turn away from the main highway at Karcham, the landscape transforms into the lush, emerald-green Baspa Valley, arguably the most beautiful valley in the Himalayas. Your destination is Sangla, a town surrounded by giant snow-capped peaks and filled with traditional slate-roofed houses, offering a perfect blend of high-altitude drama and deep-rooted Kinnauri hospitality.

Day 03: Sangla and Chhitkul

Enjoy the evening beautiful surroundings in the river valley of Baspa at the height of 9000 ft. This is one of the most beautiful valleys in the Himalaya andis often compared to the famous valley of Kashmir. Known for its rich Kinnauri culture and the apple orchards.

Chhitkul, the final village before Indo-China Border, showcases stunning Himalayan scenery. You can also explore the renowned ‘Hindustan ka Akhri Dhaba’ for delightful meals.

Day 04: Sangla to Kalpa

Checkout from the hotel. The journey from Sangla to Kalpa is a short but spectacular climb that takes you from the riverbed to the clouds. Leaving the lush meadows of the Baspa Valley, you rejoin the Hindustan-Tibet Highway at Karcham and ascend toward Reckong Peo, the bustling heart of Kinnaur. The final climb leads to Kalpa, a heritage village perched at 2,960m. Kalpa is legendary for its front-row seat to the Kinner Kailash Range.

Day 05: Kalpa to Tabo

Check out from your hotel and embark on a road journey to Tabo via Nako Lake.

On your way, cross the Khab Bridge and the merging of Spiti & Satluj Rivers. Stop at Nako Lake for lunch. Perched at 3,662m, Nako is a high-altitude oasis centered around the sacred Nako Lake, where the emerald waters reflect the surrounding barren peaks. Continue via Sumdo, turning right to explore Gue Monastery. Proceed to Tabo Monastery, the ‘Ajanta of the Himalayas’. It a serene village known for its spiritual stillness and the 1,000-year-old monastery that stands as a guardian of the valley's history.

Day 06: Tabo to Kaza

Checkout from the hotel and the journey from Tabo to Kaza is a stunning drive along the banks of the turquoise Spiti River. At an elevation of 3,800m (12,470 ft), Kaza is the administrative headquarters and the largest commercial hub of Spiti Valley. Split into the "Old Town" (Kaza Khas) and the "New Town" (Kaza Soma), it is a fascinating oasis of life amidst the stark, high-altitude desert.

Day 07: Kaza Sightseeing

Wake up and get ready to begin your sightseeing tour around Kaza. Begin by exploring the grand Key Monastery with its historic murals and weaponry. Head towards Langza Village and visit Lang Temple. Then, visit Hikkim, home to the world’s highest post office. Continue to Komik, Asia’s highest Village.

Day 08: Kaza to Chandratal Lake

Check out from your hotel/homestay in Kaza and begin your journey to Chandratal Lake. Experience a scenic journey amidst the Himalayas. Beyond Kunzum La Pass, take a right, 4 km before Batal. Reach Chandratal Lake and camp overnight by this crescent-shaped gem, immersing in its unbinding beauty.

Day 09: Chandratal Lake to Manali

Check-out from the camps and start riding towards Manali. Pass the iconic view of Sissu. Upon arrival in Manali, settle into your hotel for a brief respite. Roam the charming Mall Road or seek solace at the revered Hadimba Devi Temple.

Day 10: Manali to Chandigarh

After breakfast departure for Chandigarh. Drop at the Chandigarh Airport/ Station or Hotel.

Tour ends here with happy memories.
